The research workspace built for AI agents.

Your agent takes notes, synthesises and runs the stats. You steer, and every claim links back to the evidence.

A think-aloud session in Steerwell: the recording and its thirteen time-stamped Notes, each with the participant's quote and tags, and beside them the agent pane, where the agent has taken notes on the session, analysed the survey in R and synthesised the study.

Bring your own agent

Your agent, working inside your study.

Steerwell opens Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI next to your work, with skills that know research.

  • Notes from every session

It keeps the moments that matter in each transcript, with the quote, the tags and the second it was said.

  • Survey analysis in R

It writes and runs the script and explains the tables and charts. You can read and rerun every line.

  • Synthesis

It turns the evidence from interviews and surveys into Findings that answer your research questions.

  • Reports

By research question, with highlight clips and survey charts, as PowerPoint, PDF or Word.

Every change, yours or the agent's, is one undo away.

A survey Analysis: the R script on one side, and on the other the table and chart it made of the AI tools travellers use to plan trips, with n = 398 and a description in plain words.
A study's synthesis: the key takeaway, then the ten research questions, each with the numbers of the Findings that answer it, and the first numbered Finding with its participant count.
A Finding with its receipts: 2 of 3 participants and 398 survey respondents, the quotes it cites, each a button that plays the recording from that second, and the survey output it cites with its n.

Every claim has a receipt

Ask “says who?” and get the answer in one click.

Findings cite their quotes and survey outputs. Click a quote and the recording plays from that second.

The counts come from the evidence, never typed in.

Private by design

Your study stays yours.

Plain files, your folder

A Workspace is a folder of Markdown and YAML you can open, back up or put in Git.

Names kept apart

Participants' names live outside the Workspace, so files and reports only ever say P06 or P07.

Transcribed on your Mac

Recordings are transcribed locally. Only the agent you choose to run sees your study.
